Academic Sessions During the conference, plenary sessions were organized on the following four subjects:

  • ‘Hindi Ki Antarrashtriya Sthithi, Shaili Aur Swarup”
  • “Jansanchar Ke Sadhan Aur Hindi”
  • “Hindi Ke Prachar Mein Swaichhik Sansthaon Ki Bhumika”
  • “Vishwa Mein Hindi Ke Pathan-Pathan Ki Samasya “
Exhibition An exhibition on books and art was organized. All the books that were exhibited in the books exhibition were gifted to the Mahatma Gandhi Sansthan, after the conference.

  • Three postage stamps of Mauritius were released.
  • A grand programme was organized on 31 August, 1976 in the memory of Indian migrants.
  • Foundation stone of the Building of the Sanatan Dharam Mandir Sangh, was laid by Dr. Karan Singh on 31 August, 1976 at Immigration Square, Port Louis.
  • Release of third part of the ‘Tulsi Granthawali’, published by Nagari Pracharini Sabha.
  • Inauguration of the “Triveni Building’ at Bobose on 30 August by the Prime Minister of Mauritius.
